Peril At Sea
Robert LoMascolo, Sophomore, Wells College, Aurora, NY

Peril At Sea is a blank book, rounded and backed, with Plexiglas
shadowbox covers, hand sewn on linen tapes, with Mohawk Superfine paper
book block. It is covered in blue book cloth with adhered digitally printed
ornamentation. The rocking ships were constructed using mixed media, with
hand colored acetate ocean. Created in 2006..
Robert LoMascolo is currently a sophomore at Wells College in Aurora,
New York. He is majoring in visual arts, with a book arts minor. During
his first semester, as a freshman, he exhibited one of his books in Alabama.
He is practically interested in combining modern digital and historical
techniques. He has also studied calligraphy, digital type design, and
letterpress printing, as well as taken multiple binding courses.
