On February 21, 2025, faculty members received an email from the Interim Vice Chancellor, Provost and Chief Academic Officer to let them know that Experts@Syracuse is being sunset due to low faculty engagement. The platform will no longer be available after March 31, 2025.

Alternative widely used profiles for research, creative and scholarly works are available. Throughout the semester, Syracuse University Libraries will host drop-in sessions at the Mower Faculty Commons (548 Bird Library) to assist faculty in exploring options such as ORCID and Google Scholar. Drop-in sessions are planned for Wed. March 26 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm and Mon., April 21 from 2 to 4 pm. Libraries staff can also provide assistance to faculty members who wish to export profile information from Experts@Syracuse by emailing experts@syr.edu.

Any faculty who would like to export contents from their Experts@Syracuse profile must do so before March 31. Instructions for exporting Research Outputs, Activities, Prizes, Press/Media Mentions (which is a unique data source that may be especially useful to export), Grants, Projects, Datasets, and Facilities/Equipment are available at Exporting Experts@Syracuse Data.

Those with questions can contact the Libraries’ Experts@Syracuse support team at experts@syr.edu.
