Longer Book Checkout for Undergraduate Students
Syracuse University Libraries has extended the checkout period for books loaned to undergraduate students from 28 days to a full semester. Effective fall 2019, the lending period was extended to better accommodate student needs. The checkout period only applies to books. Short-term loan periods for course reserves, technology, or study rooms are not affected.
“This change is a result of student feedback in the past. And we’ve already had several students comment positively on the extended checkout period,” said Melinda Dermody, department head, Access and Resource Sharing.
