Collection Spotlight: Sage Research Methods
by Paul H. Bern, Ph.D., Research Data Services Librarian
Sage Research Methods supports research at all levels by supplying over 1000 books, reference works, journal articles and instructional videos to guide users through the research process. It provides the largest collection of qualitative and quantitative social science research methods books available online.
Sage Research Methods Cases are case studies of how real research projects were conducted, written by the researchers themselves. The authors explain why they chose the methods they did, what problems they encountered and how they solved them.
Sage Research Methods Datasets is a collection of instructional guides and related datasets intended for students to use on their own. The collection consists of topical practice datasets, arranged by method and data type. These datasets are especially useful as classroom exercises or exams, saving faculty members hours spent sourcing and cleaning data themselves.
Sage Research Methods Video contains more than 125 hours of videos, including tutorials, case studies, expert interviews and more, covering the entire research methods and statistics curriculum. Videos can also be embedded into course management systems for exam preparation.
