Collection Spotlight: Statista’s Market Insights

While you are probably familiar with searching in Statista to find statistics and reports on a variety of topics, you may not be aware that Statista includes a dynamic research tool called Market Insights.
With Market Insights, you can find information about a market on a broad level, such as worldwide revenue and user stats for the Digital Health market. Use the Market dropdown menu to narrow to specific markets within Digital Health, such as Fitness Apps, showing (among other stats) the worldwide brand share of apps, such as Fitbit and Strava.
Use the Region dropdown menu to quickly switch from viewing the worldwide market to a specific region or country. Then compare a market across regions with the Compare dropdown menu. For instance, start with the Food market, select United States as the region, and then compare to China and Germany. Switch to the Ready-to-Eat Meals market (a subset of the Convenience Food market) to instantly view charts and other visualizations comparing the volume, price per unit, and more for this specific food market across the three countries.
Each market includes a market definition, as well as what is in scope and out of scope, market structure (where the market is situated within Market Insights’ grouping of markets), key market indicators (such as population and household income) for the selected regions, and a section on methodology. Depending on the selected market, an analyst opinion of the market may also be available. Visualizations within a market can be instantly switched to different types of bar graphs, line graphs, or tables. Each visualization can be viewed full screen and downloaded.
