October is LGBTQ History Month
Syracuse was one of the first NY universities to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. The 2/20/1978 issue of Gaysweek reported that a resolution had been proposed to the Board of Trustees by Harry Collette, past president of the Gay Students Association.
