The Whitman School of Management will launch the Orange Business Angel Network (OBAN) on Wednesday, January 14, from 4:30–6 p.m. in Flaum Grand Hall. OBAN is a new, student-led angel investing network designed to give Whitman students hands-on experience in early-stage investing while connecting entrepreneurs with mentors, alumni and capital. The launch event will feature a champagne toast by Interim Dean Alex McKelvie and a panel discussion with Zachery Pecenak, Linda Dickerson Hartsock and Jeff Knauss, moderated by Professor Jeff Gish, highlighting OBAN’s role in advancing experiential learning and innovation at Syracuse University.

Pecenak, Dickerson Hartsock and Knauss are seasoned leaders in entrepreneurship, investing and business development who bring extensive experience working with startups, founders and innovation-driven organizations. Their professional backgrounds span early-stage company building, strategic growth and mentoring entrepreneurs for investment. Jeff Gish is a new faculty member of the Whitman School of Management who is a researcher, scholar, founder and investor widely recognized for advancing experiential entrepreneurship learning.

The event is open to faculty, staff and students. Reservations are required:
