Law Library contributed two displays to honor life of Judge Rosemary S. Pooler.

The College of Law Library contributed two displays to honor the memory of Judge Rosemary S. Pooler, who was a United States Circuit Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. They contain documents and memorabilia that exemplify Judge Pooler’s impressive work and life. Both displays can be viewed just inside the main entrance to Dineen Hall.

The Pooler Papers display showcases the contents of over 200 boxes of Judge Pooler’s papers that were donated by her family in 2024. It features Pooler’s landmark rulings in the Federal Reporter, news articles about her cases, and summaries of her highest profile cases.

The Life of Judge Pooler display contains photographs and articles about Rosemary Pooler, her career, her family, and her time at Syracuse University College of Law. It highlights her unique contributions to Syracuse and to the United States as a role model, a public servant, a legal mind, and an educator.
