The records for the Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) submitted by the Graduate School for Winter 2025 have been processed and loaded into SURFACE.

The records for the Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) submitted by the Graduate School for Winter 2025 have been processed and loaded into SURFACE – Syracuse University’s Institutional Repository. These include forty-four (44) submissions from twenty-two (22) different departments, including:

Anthropology (1); Arts Therapy (1); Biology (2); Biomedical and Chemical Engineering (3); Chemistry (3); Civil and Environmental Engineering (1); Communication Sciences and Disorders (1); Cultural Foundations of Education (2); Economics (1); Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (5); Geography and the Environment (1); Information Management (2); Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics (1); Mass Communications (1); Mathematics (3); Mechanical Aerospace and Engineering (1); Physics (6); Psychology (4); Public Administration (1); Public Relations (1); Social Science (1); Writing Studies, Rhetoric and Composition (2).

In Winter 2025:

Notably, this marks the first time that both dissertations and theses achieved a 100% opt‑in rate for Open Access publishing for a graduation period. The Winter 2025 ETDs also close out a calendar year with a record‑high Open Access participation rate of 95%!
