Yogita Adari G’25 (College of Engineering and Computer Science), member of the Blackstone LaunchPad at Syracuse University Libraries, was selected for a prestigious internship opportunity with one of the Blackstone LaunchPad Charitable Foundation’s portfolio companies, Invisible Strengths, for the summer of 2024. Invisible Strengths connects disabled jobseekers with supportive work environments and a diverse pipeline of candidates for employees.

Adari is focusing her studies at Syracuse University on applying natural language processing (NLP) to real-world problems and challenges. Her hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models for various NLP tasks, such as sentiment analysis, text summarization, and chatbot development, during previous internships at Naskay Technologies and Ekasmin, will be applied in her current internship opportunity. Adari is interested in both the technical aspects of artificial intelligence (AI) as well as its ethical and social implications. “I believe that AI can be a powerful tool for positive change and innovation, if used responsibly and inclusively. I am motivated to contribute to projects that have a positive impact on people's lives and create a sustainable and inclusive future,” says Adari. “I’m excited to use my skills at Invisible Strengths.”
