Libraries Adds Three More Read and Publish Agreements for 2026
Syracuse University Libraries recently signed three more ‘read and publish’ open access agreements with publishers Sage, AIP Publishing and Emerald. These new agreements impact researchers across numerous disciplines, especially those in the humanities and social sciences. The Libraries now offer eighteen read and publish agreements, which expand the reach of Syracuse University researchers’ scholarly contributions by enabling all SU-affiliated authors with the ability to publish their work open access at no charge to the authors. Open access allows anyone to use these scholarly works, free of charge, thereby exponentially increasing the reach and impact of Syracuse University authors’ works.
- The agreement with Sage enables SU-affiliated authors to publish their work open in gold and hybrid journals.
- The agreement with AIP Publishing is part of their AIP Fusion pilot for 2026, which includes gold and hybrid publications.
- The agreement with Emerald covers gold and hybrid publications.
For instructions on taking advantage of these agreements or for more information, see the Read & Publish Agreements and APC Coverage Research Guide.
