Orange Innovation theme of this year’s National E-Week at Syracuse University
Next week, February 16 to 23, is National Entrepreneurship Week, an annual Congressionally-chartered initiative dedicated to showcasing entrepreneurship throughout the United States. The Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars is celebrating with the campus theme Orange Innovation. You can help create a #TwitterStorm by tweeting and tagging #NatlEshipWeek and #OrangeInnovation @your own program area. Our team of Blackstone LaunchPad powered by Techstars Global Media Fellows will be creating a social media blitz on Facebook and Instagram, so follow the action on @LaunchPadSYR. Join us to amplify the message, and celebrate innovative ideas and initiatives from across campus to an audience around the country. To celebrate, we are also hosting some fun events that are open to the entire campus community. Join us for:
- #OrangeInnovation photo popups across campus all week in various buildings to showcase SU innovators.
- Ideas Over Ice, Wednesday, February 20, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Goldstein Alumni and Faculty Center — a lively and informal faculty fest to showcase innovation in teaching, research, commercialization, and venture creation.
- Minute to Win-it Idea Pitchfest, Wednesday, February 20, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Bird Library — a fast pitch/ideapalooza designed for students who are just testing out some ideas and aren’t ready yet for prime time business plan competitions. Prizes for best idea and audience choice award.
- ACC InVenture Prize, Friday, February 22, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Bird Library. This is it: A battle of the brains, ACC championship style — the title fight for the coveted prize of top student innovator at Syracuse University. Watch the 16 teams compete and cheer on your favorites in front of an impressive slate of judges.
