Notes: First used as women's residence named Beebe Cottage, in 2011, the building housed offices of the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics.

On September 7, 2021, the building celebrated its grand re-opening as a space for the University’s Black community to gather and share experiences. The interior is decorated with works by Black artists.

In January 2024, Sharon Barner ‘79 and her husband Haywood McDuffie made a $1 million donation to ensure that the House will continue to support Black, first-generation, and underrepresented students for years to come. The building was renamed The Barner-McDuffie House in the family's honor.
