In Winter 2024:
- Forty (40) dissertations were submitted and their records are available at: https://surface.syr.edu/etd/.
- Thirty-eight (38) dissertations were submitted as Open Access (OA) publications, Twenty-nine (29) of which are currently available for download on SURFACE. Nine (9) additional dissertations will be available after an embargo period.
- Two (2) additional dissertations were submitted but are only available by subscription through ProQuest, though their records are available in SURFACE.
- The OA rate for dissertations this spring exceeded 95%.
- Seven (7) graduate theses were submitted and their records are available at https://surface.syr.edu/thesis/.
- Six (6) theses were submitted as OA publications, four (4) of which are currently available for download on SURFACE. Two (2) additional theses will be available after an embargo period.
- One (1) additional thesis was submitted but is only available by subscription through ProQuest, though their records are available in SURFACE.
- The OA rate for theses was over 86%.
- The overall OA rate for all dissertations and theses was approximately 94%.
