Climate disruption symposium, April 25 at SU College of Law
The Syracuse University College of Law presents a symposium on “Technology & Policy Responses to Climate Disruption, Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Syracuse University College of Law, Gray Ceremonial Courtroom, Dineen Hall, 950 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210.
The symposium is organized and moderated by Shubha Ghosh, JD, PhD, Crandall Melvin Professor of Law; Director, IP & Technology Commercialization Curricular Program, Syracuse Intellectual Property Law Institute (SIPLI). It is open and free to the public, however registration is requested to Professor Shubha Ghosh (sghosh01@syr.edu).
Listen, and interact with a distinguished panel of professors of engineering, physics, economics, and law to discuss responses to the environmental and ecological challenges posed by climate disruption. Are technological options available and feasible? What mix of subsidies, taxes, or more targeted policies promotes appropriate technologies? How does international trade policy play a role? Do developing and developed countries have conflicting or compatible agendas? Bring your own questions and thoughts and participate in the discussion.
