Gabrielle K. LaBare Hired as Student Success and Engagement Librarian
Syracuse University Libraries’ recently appointed Gabrielle K. LaBare as Student Success and Engagement Librarian in the Department of Learning and Academic Engagement. In her new role, LaBare will serve as liaison to the departments of Athletics and Retention & Student Success; provide reference support to students and other patrons via chat, email and off-desk consultation; and provide general instruction and outreach services.
LaBare received masters’ degrees in both Library and Information Science and Music Vocal Performance from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a bachelor’s degree from Nazareth College. Most recently, she held the position of Instruction and Engagement Librarian at Warren Hunting Smith Library at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and prior to that Reference Librarian at Capella University Library.
