Libraries Celebrates 2025 Giving Day Results

Syracuse University Libraries is celebrating the results of Giving Day 2025, held on March 27. Overall, the University surpassed its goal, raising $1,679,439 from 7,229 donors, making it the most successful Giving Day in the University’s history. And the Libraries also fared well, raising $38,137 from 92 donors.
“We are so grateful to all those who gave to the Libraries as part of this year’s Giving Day,” said David Seaman, Dean of the Libraries and University Librarian. “The Libraries is the academic hub of our campus. Students, faculty and staff come to us daily, both virtually and in person to learn from helpful librarians, study with friends, develop innovative ideas and undertake research. Gifts to the Libraries drive scholarly excellence, promote experiential learning and help students thrive in welcoming spaces.”
In addition to gifts to the Libraries, donors were instrumental in supporting the Blackstone LaunchPad at the Libraries, the campus innovation hub that connects the University’s ecosystem with a global network to support entrepreneurs, innovators and creatives. Donors also generously supported the University’s Remembrance Scholars, which honors 35 rising seniors each year who commit to community to remember the lives lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103.
