Visit Bird Library for Voter Registration and a Pocket Constitution
In honor of Voter Registration Day on September 15 and Constitution Day on September 17, Syracuse University Libraries has two displays in Bird Library open to the public.
The Voter Registration display includes voter registration forms and a secure drop-off box to submit the forms. This display runs from September 11 through October 22, 2026.
The Constitution Day display includes free copies of The Constitution of the United States booklets that contain the original text of the document created by the founding fathers. The Libraries also has an online Constitution Day Research Guide with additional information and resources.
Syracuse University Libraries is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code). All are welcome to use the Government Documents Collection during library hours open to the public (typically Monday through Friday 8am to 7pm). Federal documents are available on the 3rd floor.
Syracuse University Library also has a Preservation Stewardship agreement with the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO). SU Libraries is one of four geographically dispersed locations around the country to permanently preserve and retain the print volumes of the United States Statutes at Large, United States Code, Statistical Abstract if the U.S., The American State Papers, and the Code of Federal Regulations: Title 3 - The President.
