The new Biblio Gallery exhibit on the 4th floor of Bird Library was curated by Amanda DuBose, Visual and Performing Arts Librarian, and is titled “WEAVE: A Community Tapestry,” on display from September 26, 2025 through mid-October.

WEAVE: A Community Tapestry asks viewers how they are weaving, have woven or will weave themselves into the fabric of the Syracuse University campus community. The basic structure of the weaving has been created and part of the story has already been told. Represented in the framework of the weaving are the Two Row Wampum, Syracuse University colors orange and blue, Academia and various communities on campus. However, there are deliberate gaps for members of the Syracuse community to share their perspectives.

Ribbons and markers are available in the space for members of our community to select and use. Choose a ribbon that you feel represents you, your hopes for this year or your experience on campus and cut a length of no more than two (2) feet or the length of your elbow to the end of your fingers. If you would like to share, write a message about how you are or hope to become Forever Orange. Weave your ribbon into the fabric, if it is a hope - make a wish, if it is a past success - say a word of thanks, and if it is a current action – give it energy. Participants can also fill out this information online.

Together, our community will create a fabric that is stronger and more vibrant.
